About the Silver "T" Bucket: I bought a couple of Revell kits from my local hobby shop. One was a Ford model "T" bucket and the other was a Ford model "A" roadster.
I used the main body part of the T to make a fiberglass mold so I could make several bodys. So far I've made three cars from this mold. The inspiration was a neat shot of a model "T" Ford in a Dayton Wire Wheel ad. It rekindled my interest in building a real hot rod. The car pictured looked like an early Track "T" that they raced back in the '50s. I never was crazy about the Track "T" until I saw a Texas car in Hemmings Classic Car Magazine. It really got me excited to design what might become a real car. |
So I designed two cars, one had a Metallic Grey body, a chrome Model "A" grill and a set of red Dayton wheels. Bigs in the back with Mickey Thompson's Big Tires. The front tires were small tires and red wire wheels. Will Neely, November 2008 |
